Processing temperature: 340°F to 570°F (170°C to 300°C)
UP Grade requires a 0.020" (0.5 mm) clearance for hot runner gates and extrusion dies; 100 mesh is required for extrusion screen packs.
Tips when using ASACLEAN:
|
ASACLEAN does not work by chemical reaction. |
|
No soak time or hold-up time is required for an effective purge |
|
For maximum performance, ASACLEAN should not be diluted with other materials. |
| ASACLEAN works best with maximum agitation. Use the maximum safe screw speed and for injection molding also use maximum safe back pressure with the screw in the most forward position. |

Usage Example: Polypropylene color change
The photos below show a comparison of polypropylene color changes, one changeover using ASACLEAN UP Grade and the other without.
WITHOUT ASACLEAN
(Each golf tee represents every 5th shot, with 40 shots required to complete the color change.)

USING ASACLEAN
(Only six shots total were required.)
