[Parsippany, NJ] A leading provider of high-performance purging compound Sun Plastech Inc. has announced that it will switch its current 220-lbs fiber drum packaging forAsaclean® Purging Compound to a new Eco-Friendly “poly-bag” packaging.
The new poly-bag is collapsible and takes less space than the fiber drum when empty, but keeps its upright shape when in use. The poly-bag is 100% recyclable and environmentally friendly.
It will reduce disposal costs for our customers and enhance their “Green” efforts. A recycling pick-up service for the used bags is also provided. The collected bags will then be recycled into resin instead of being landfilled.
In comparison to fiber drum packaging, the use of poly-bags reduces the number of packaging truckloads from 138 tons to 5 tons; it reduces the amount of packaging sent to landfills from 490 tons to 41 tons, and reduces landfill cost from $122,504.54 to $10,208.71.

The new packaging will be introduced in May 2009.
