[Parsippany, NJ] – A large Midwest processor that previously saw the cost savings of 63% by switching toAsaclean® EX Grade and Advantage Grade combination reduced an additional 14% in purging costs by trying the new formulation of EX grade.
The company had, until recently, been using EX Grade of Asaclean® purging compound for their blow-molding machines. After testing the new EX Grade and comparing its performance to the original EX Grade, they completed the second round of cost savings analysis. They were previously seeing an average savings of 63% per purge with the original EX Grade; with the new EX Grade, they saw an additional 14% savings.
With an operating temperature range from 390°F-680°F (200°C-360°C), the new EX Grade is especially suitable for hard to purge resins requiring maximum cleaning or deposit removal. It can be used effectively for color and material changes, barrel and screw pre-overhaul cleaning.
